Betty Farr tells it by heart

On a certain closet in Betty Farr’s house hangs a sign that reads, DO NOT OPEN. The closet doesn’t hold skeletons or danger or even riches, it’s simply crammed full of costumes, and Betty Farr doesn’t want them messed with. “My grandchildren would love to get in there,” she says. As a storyteller Mrs. Farr has a penchant for costumes. She has a particular one for each month and others for special occasions. “I always felt like I needed to wear a costume,” she says. “I feel like that adds a little something to the story.”
